Rooted phones?

Rooted phones?
A number of posts imply that the phone is rooted. Mine, apparently, is not. Are people receiving rooted phones, or rooting them? Thanks.

Re: Rooted phones?
How is that possible , did you download the root checker and made that sure ? or just install the "superuser" then try again.
Re: Rooted phones?
I used Root Checker (Basic) and it reports "Sorry, this device does not have proper root access". I downloaded/installed/opened "superuser" but I'm not sure what to do with it. There is no superuser installed in /system/app. I would welcome suggestions as I have zero experience rooting. Thanks.

Re: Rooted phones?
I'm having the same problem, root checker says not rooted, supersu - "no su binary installed", and no option to enable developer options for enable-usb-debugging.
Tried to find all options as it says here: rushinformation .com/how-to-enable-usb-debugging-on-android/ there's just no dev menu and no buid number anywhere

Look up "How to root HTC Evo Design 4G". Or, check this post:
forum (dot) xda-developers (dot) com/showthread.php?t=1399351
That should work still.

Re: Rooted phones?
Every rooting option requires "Make sure USB Debugging is enabled" and I cannot find how on this ROM to do that (like it's hidden). How do you enable on your's?

Re: Rooted phones?
I don't believe it's an option. There are apps in the app store that can do it, but I'd just try to run one of them and see if it works.
EDIT: If you have recovery, you can root easily. Just install a zip with su binary and superuser.
EDIT 2: Can an admin give me permissions to post links, please?

Re: Rooted phones?
1. First in settings -> power unchecked "fast boot"
2. Downloaded and installed su binary from download.chainfire.eu/365/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.69.zip?retrieve_file=1
by shutting down phone then volume down + power press to get to CMW Recovery, then install zip from sdcard, locate SuperSU zip and install
3. reboot
4. Now passes "root checker"
Thank you!
